I’m Stephaney La'Mark, founder of Fleur De Lis Designs. My professional foundation was built in the world of technology, where I spent 25 years as a software architect designing systems and engineering solutions for complex real-world challenges. That experience shaped the way I approach creative work today — with an emphasis on thoughtful design, structural clarity, and the careful orchestration of elements working together seamlessly. Creativity, however, has always been an equally defining part of my journey.

Prior to founding Fleur De Lis Designs, I owned a children’s boutique in Atlanta — a whimsical, themed retail environment where visual storytelling and atmosphere were central to the experience. Designing and building visual displays for the store deepened my understanding of composition, scale, color, and the way thoughtfully designed environments influence emotion and engagement.

Over time, my passion for design evolved into large-scale creative builds, float concepts, and immersive visual projects. What began with transforming my own front porch into theatrical holiday sets — including a Wizard of Oz-inspired installation — naturally grew into hands-on float design, prop fabrication, scenic elements, and parade creations.

That same creative energy extended into community-centered experiences through Madison First Fridays in Madison, Alabama, an event platform I founded to celebrate local makers, artists, businesses, and shared community moments. As part of this work, I designed and published several digital magazines supporting the Madison First Fridays community, blending visual design, storytelling, and editorial composition to highlight local creators and event culture. These projects further strengthened my focus on visual communication, audience engagement, and experiential design.

Our parade and float creations have been featured across regional media and social platforms, including coverage by outlets such as Fox54 and WHNT News. These moments of public visibility reflect the spirit of our work — designs created not simply to be seen, but to spark curiosity, excitement, and engagement within live event environments.  That passion has taken us beyond local community events. We’ve participated with custom float designs in parades across Huntsville, Athens, Madison, Decatur, and Louisiana, spanning diverse themes and seasons. In Louisiana, our float design earned recognition a competition — a testament to our commitment to creativity, craftsmanship, and visual storytelling in parade environments. Our creative work also expanded to include custom inflatable art props, developed not as novelty pieces but as sculptural elements that enhance storytelling, scale, and visual impact. These inflatable forms became an extension of our creative language, adding dynamic presence to floats, parades, and immersive builds.

Today, Fleur De Lis Designs brings these disciplines together — combining architectural precision, parade experience, visual design expertise, and handcrafted artistry.  We are a small, dedicated team by design, allowing us to remain deeply involved in every project we undertake. This hands-on approach ensures close collaboration, careful craftsmanship, and a level of creative attention that defines our work.
